Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to sell and merchandise product within designated accounts. This includes stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain merchandising standards while rotating products each time in designated accounts.
- Maximize profitable sales opportunities by thoroughly understanding the customer's business and building relationships based on trust and integrity with that customer's management team.
- Successfully sell promotional plans that align with and support the customer's and LinPepCo's business objectives and strategies.
- Ability to collaboratively sell and overcome customer objections for display and incremental opportunities.
- Sell-in and implement promotional strategies for the introduction of new brands and packages.
- Manage the Merchandisers including hiring, development, training, schedule, performance management and termination.
- Track daily, weekly and monthly order activity and performance measurements against assigned goals and expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members (e.g., delivery, merchandising) that help align ourselves better with the customer.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to and from accounts
- Knowledge of general merchandising
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Basic knowledge of computers and tablets
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Observe and follow all safety procedures
- Skills in problem solving and judgement and decision making
- Ability to provide attention to detail
- Ability to perform miscellaneous job functions in a scheduled timeframe
- Must be flexible and adaptable to support the team to obtain Company goals
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holiday hours
Work Environment and Equipment
Work generally takes place in store setting. Individuals must be able to operate a tablet or PC, as well as a two-wheel dolly and pallet jack.

The KSHSAA supports Kansas schools in providing student learning and development opportunities through participation in education-based athletic and activity programs. This is accomplished through the administration of interscholastic activities, festivals, clinics, and contests among member schools, culminating with state championship events.
This association provides support and leadership to 750 member high schools and middle schools, over 200,000 Kansas students, and 4000 registered officials.
The Position
This is a full-time Administrative Assistant role located in Topeka, KS, with flexibility for some remote work. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented problem-solver who enjoys new challenges, a fast-paced work environment, contributing to a team mission, and school sports and activities. A candidate’s work ethic, desire to learn and grow, ability to integrate with the team and an overall attitude of service are key attributes to being successful in this position.
This Administrative Assistant position is responsible for providing office support for the administration of designated sports and activities sanctioned by the KSHSAA, as well as general office operations. This person works with and under the direction of KSHSAA administrative staff members who direct activities, the Executive Director, and the Director of Operations.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to all stakeholders served by the KSHSAA.
- Coordinate electronic data management using custom software and Microsoft Office products.
- Prepare and distribute electronic and hard copy communications with member schools and officials.
- Prepare and monitor coach/sponsor education/training requirements.
- Meeting planning & preparation (on-site and off-site meetings)
- Assist in planning and preparation of postseason events.
- Provide grammatical and stylistic proofing of printed materials and electronic communications.
- Maintain the Gallery of Champions.
- Prepare and organize large mailings.
- Inventory management
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Operations
Summary of Key Qualifications:
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service to the member schools and registered contest officials of the KSHSAA.
- Be an exceptional verbal and digital communicator with member schools, officials, and staff.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Publisher and Access will also be valuable.
- Be an exceptional team player, while still being productive working independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable managing large volumes of data in various electronic formats.
- Willing to embrace the opportunity to learn new skills and office technology.
- Be detail oriented and possess excellent proof-reading skills.
- Have an interest in interscholastic activities and/or a desire to learn more about interscholastic activities and the KSHSAA.
- Possess the highest level of ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work onsite in Topeka, KS, Monday – Friday.
